Finding Inspiration in Costa Rica: My Path to Jewellery Design

When I first visited Costa Rica, I fell in love with the country immediately. The stunning nature, diverse wildlife, breathtaking ocean sunsets, and fresh air all seem to nudge you toward the idea of moving here almost right away. You start to see your life from a different perspective and question, “Is everything I’ve done before really that important?” and “Are all the values I hold back home truly significant?” For me, it became clear that the daily grind and hustle don’t have much meaning. Here, it doesn’t matter what you wear or what car you drive. You just want to breathe in this air of freedom and savor every moment spent in this paradise.

But that’s just the vacation talking. To live here permanently, you need something to do, especially if, like me, personal fulfillment is important to you. I’ve always dreamed of running my own business, and during my transition to living here, this blog and my passion for jewelry design have become my focus. Right now, I’m learning to create 3D models and visualize my designs. I hope that in the future, I can launch my own jewelry brand, and maybe these initial designs will be the first ones you’ll see in my online store.

Yes, I know, these designs are quite simple, but I like this approach. I would start with something straightforward and focus on quality. I love holding a piece of jewelry in my hand and feeling its weight, seeing the polished details, and watching the gemstone sparkle. For my first pieces, I would choose 925 sterling silver and semi-precious stones like citrine, amethyst, citrine, quartz, and others.
